Doc-To-Help

Adding Feedback Ability

  •  chriscai said 10 months ago:

    Hi everyone

I am fairly new to doc-to-help (4 hours experience to be exact). I am trying to create a sample help file, and I would love to add some feedback functionality.

Maybe on each page, at the bottom there will be a form where the user can enter feed back, or maybe a button (beside the print/home buttons) that opens up a new form to allow users to provide feedback.

I was wondering if anyone here could provide me some tips/general hints/methods/point me in the right direction on how to implement such functionality.

    Cheers,

    Hi chriscai,

in your theme editor you find an email button (edit current theme/buttons) which you can name as you wish in the config settings (in the theme editor as well). You can use that in your help gui.
And in the help target dialog box you can insert an email address.

So your users can send you an email with feedback.

    Regards,
    Madlen

You may easily change the e-mail in the help target properties

    1) Open NetHelp target properties
    2) Under E-mail change it to as per your company e-mail
    3) Ok and rebuild the project

    Refer to the screenshot

    Hi,

You may refer to this blog for the DISQUS implementation to get a similar feature (available with 2012v2)
