How to underline all bad words in VSSpell ?

  • picks1000 2 years, 8 months ago

    1) Is there a way to check the spelling of the document, without bringing up the suggestion dialog, but resulting in underlying all bad words with red ?
    2) Also, when setting the mode .CheckTyping mode, is there a way to leave the bad word with red underline, even after typing the next word already (by default it does not do that) ?

    Thanks, Mips.

    Hello Mips,

There are only 3 methods to spell check any document in VsSpell. CheckWord spellchecks single word, CheckTyping is as-you-type spellchecking and CheckWindow shows the dialog for spell checking. There is no feature provided mark all bad words in red.

Regarding issue 2, it is the design behaviour of VsSpell. The As-You-Type spell checking shows wiggly line only for last typed word if it is an error. In case you want to spell check all the words you can use CheckWindow() method to spell check all errored words using spell dialog.

    Thanks,

    Hi Richa,

    1) Do you know if there are any plans to fix issue #2 so that there is an option to leave the bad words underlined after leaving to the next word ?

    2) The screen does flickers when you spell-as-you-type. Do you know if the new version of your Activex fixes this issue ?

    Thanks,
    Mips.

    Hello Mips,

The issue 2 is not a bug. It is the design behaviour and it cannot be changed.

As for the flickering issue, please check with the latest VsSpell build available at the following url :

    Thanks,
    Richa
