Have been pondering porting a Silverlight app to a Windows 8 Metro style app for inclusion in the app store.
I have signed up for the C1 Metro beta but I haven’t heard anything on this yet.
In particular, will you be able to port over most of the existing controls to Win8?
I need the FlexGrid and the RichTextBox the most. Currently I use the Silverlight versions of these and it would be great to have the same ones in M8 so I have to change as little as possible.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for this feedback. We will be porting the controls that we feel make the most sense from Silverlight to Win8, and this will also largely be determined by user feedback.
You can check out a sneak peek at the upcoming CTP here:

FlexGrid and RichTextBox are going to be included, however not likely in the first public CTP.

Hi Chintan,
Thanks for your interest. We hope to have them available by the end of this week actually. If you’ve signed up on http://www.componentone.com/metro then you’ll be notified. I will blog and reply to this thread as well. Currently the controls are being tested on VS2012 RC/Win8 Release Preview.

This will beat the email notification going out tomorrow morning, but the controls are now available to download and preview. Check out my blog post here:
